About the NBG

The National Bicycle Greenway is envisioned as a nationwide network of interconnected bike friendly roads and bicycle pathways that will connect cyclists to major cities throughout the US. The NBG is dedicated to developing a standard for cycle-safe thruways that enhances the travel experience of the transportational cyclist. In advancing this cause, see what we have accomplished since 1987.

By underscoring the joy of riding a bike, and showcasing pedal power's ability to enhance health, the Greenway will attract great numbers of people to bicycling in many different parts of America. In time, a network of bicycle greenways will help solve many of our traffic and air pollution problems as well.
