1. Which Relay link do you want to ride?

Palo Alto to San Francisco.
2.
How you found us
Martin's Emails
3.
Why you want to do this ride
Because I want to support the NBG along with bicycling in general and I've never ridden all the way from PA to SF
4. Tell us about your touring experience- if
little or none, indicate
many miles have you ridden over the last year:
I'm a commuter generally making short hopes although I've ridden 40-60 miles occasionally. I'm comfortable riding in heavy traffic as well as recreational touring although I actually prefer the former. I don't have a computer and have no idea how many miles I ride but I ride to get around so it's a lot.
5. Tell us about your bike
Three bikes, main one is a Mikkelsen custom touring/commuter, second one is old steel Trek rigid mtn bike and last is Brompton, British commuter folder .

6. Describe your training regimen
I get exercise from utilitarian biking but when I'm trying to be healthy like now I swim laps and go the gym to pump iron.
7. How are you making time for this
I'm unemployed
8. What are your fears about doing this ride
I generally don't do long rides because I don't know where to go but I won't be alone so will have no anxiety about getting lost.
9. Do you have any special skills that you feel
would benefit the Mayors' Ride?
I've done bicycle advocacy since mid 80's, member #47 of the SFBC, utilitarian cycling since 1982, carfree since 2000, 5 years retail bike shop experience.
10. Do you have
any personal contacts that you feel could help the National Bicycle
Greenway or the Mayors' Ride? If so, please list them here.
Contact with City of Palo Alto and San Francisco in their government bicycle programs as well as advocacy/activist scene
