1. Which Relay link do you want to ride?

Sacramento to Folsom and any I can make in the Bay Area.
2. How you found us
Martin asked me to participate a few years ago.
3. Why you want to do this ride
I enjoy riding with others. Especially on unique bikes. I also support the concept of a bike route across the US.
4. Tell us about your touring experience- if little or none, indicate many miles have you ridden over the last year:
I have ridden a few high wheel centuries. One on the American River Path and another in Yosemite. Many half centuries, but no over nighters. I also ride an ICE Q trike. It's a recumbent and I can ride it many miles comfortably. I ride more than a 1000 miles a year.
5. Tell us about your bike
My high wheel is an 1885 Columbia Expert. The front wheel is 56". My trike is the ICE Q.
6. Describe your training regimen
Commuting to work when it fits my schedule. It's uphill both ways. Well, maybe not both ways but it is a pretty good climb most of the 8+ miles to work. On the weekends I try to get in a 30 mile ride.
7. How are you making time for this
I got it on my calendar before anything else took its place.
8. What are your fears about doing this ride
That it could be 113 degrees like the last time.

12. Other
As for the 2008 Sacto to Folsom River Ride, it was fun seeing the NBG people show up at the Capital. Nice of so many other people being there to see us off! Great weather. Good company. The rest stop at (oh, man, I can't remember the name of the place right now - with the cold water, fruit and etc.) was wonderful. After that we kept wondering if any of the numerous turnouts were for us. The big climb up to Folsom was just about as difficult for the recumbent trikes as the high wheels. Folsom was great.

 | The Greenway network will utilize a network of abandoned rail lines and highways as well as active utility and aqueduct rights of way. It will ultimately be fed by other bicycle highways that stretch up and down both seaboards and crisscross America from east to west and north to south. |
