1. Which Relay link do you want to ride?

Santa Barbara to San Luis Obispo

2. How you found us

I received an e-mail message saying you needed a rider for this relay link and it sounded like something fun to do.

3. Why you want to do this ride

I was going to ride to Santa Barbara from San Luis Obispo in the next couple of weeks anyway

4. Tell us about your touring experience- if little or none, indicate many miles have you ridden over the last year:

I ride locally three times a week and do three or four centuries per year. (150 miles per week locally; I did a century ride on July 16)

5. Tell us about your bike

Road bicycle - either a Trek or Scott.

 6. Describe your training regimen

One hundred and fifty miles per week and three or centuries a year.

7. How are you making time for this


Retired.

8. What are your fears about doing this ride

Riding north from Santa Barbara to San Luis Obispo is mostly into the wind. I'm a tailwind rider. .

9. Do you have any special skills that you feel would benefit the Mayors' Ride?

I enjoy riding. Hopefully, if there are enough bicyclists on the roads, one day we be accepted as equals by motorists.
