Return of the Scorcher - The Bicycle as a Way to Heal Ourselves and the Planet

This is a classic half-hour documentary that looks at bike culture and bike lifestyles around the world. Created by Ted White in 1992, using beautiful and inspiring scenes of bikes in China, The Netherlands, Denmark, and the U.S, it is one of the first films ever made that offers the bicycle as a solution to our auto centric way of life. As well, it is from this production that the idea, as well as the term itself, for Critical Mass bike rides was derived. It is a must see for anyone active in two wheel activism,,,,,

As a result of such efforts, the National Bicycle Greenway network will establish the bicycle as a desirable part of the transportation mix. As more of the Greenways is built and maintained, for a fraction of the cost of building even just a few miles of interstate freeway, the many advantages of bicycle transportation will soon become evident.
